Radio Nigeria Globe FM Bauchi has expressed readiness to sustain the existing partnership between it and organizations working in the area of improving maternal and child health.
The General Manager of the Station, Malam Aminu Abdullahi Gombi gave the assurance when he received a delegation from The Challenge Initiative (TCI) Nigeria and Development Communication Network in his office.

Development Communications (DEVCOMS) Network a media-development, capacity-building, non-governmental organization coordinated by experienced development journalists supported the Public Lecture on Nutrition today at the Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The event was presented by the University of Ibadan, Department of Human Nutrition in collaboration with Nutrition Society of Nigeria.
Development Communications Network in collaboration with her sister organization Youth Empowerment Foundation trained their staff members in a two-days retreat. The retreat which was residential held on Thursday, 7th Feb and Friday 8th Feb 2019 at R & A City Hotels, Ikeja.

ollowing the intervention of the Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI) in the renovation of Family Planning (FP) clinics in Lagos state, there has been increased number of FP users at Ajeabo and Palm Avenue Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Mushin. LEADERSHIP recently visited those areas and found out that since NURHI 72 hours makeover of the FP units in some PHCs across Lagos, more women of reproductive age have come to realize the importance of FP.

Recently a Media Roundtable on the Practical Ways for Introducing Adolescents and Youths to Sexuality and Reproductive Health Information was called by Development Communications (DEVCOMS) Network. SUCCESS DAMIAN reports.
Development Communications Network in Collaboration with Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative organised 1-day orientation/sensitization for Journalists and Social Media Bloggers/ Influencers on Life Planning for Adolescents and Youth (LPAY) in Kaduna, Oyo and Lagos. 77 Journalists and 68 Influencers were trained on the concept of LPAY in the three sites. Life planning arms young people with positive life changing information that can help them make informed choices about critical issues in life and future.
DEVCOMS led a team of Journalist on an investigative trip to Irede community, Abule Osun in Lagos State where it was discovered that residents of Irede community are in quandry.
They have continually agonised over the inaccessibility and unavailability of qualitative healthcare services in their area. The riverine communities inhabited by over 10,000 people have witnessed recurrent loss of lives, notably among pregnant women and the elderly people in the communities as a result of lack of reliable health services.
